Job Description
Serve as a Systems Administrator primarily focusing on Patching and Server Remediation.
Responsible for troubleshooting patch failures our of Bladelogic patch deployments.
Automate/simplify routine jobs through Power shell/Python scripting.
Collaborate and support deployment coordination teams during schedule creation.
Liaising with patch deployment operations team during implementation of patching activities.
Server build/operations team to address technical issues that were detected during execution.
Weekend support required for server patching activities on Prod/LLE environments.
Primarily be responsible for Wintel servers patching activities on all environments.
Responsible for manual patching and troubleshooting to fix vulnerabilities on bulk servers from multiple schedules.
Responsible to resolve cluster/storage/network issues within Windows OS.
Provide weekend support for Critical server patching activities.
Responsible for writing scripts to simplify routine jobs.
Ability to troubleshoot and deep dive OS issues during scheduled window.
Coordinate with platform engineering and Ops teams on unresolved issues.
Should be able to adopt new skills and willing to upgrade skill.
Proactively identify issues and escalate to the right level
Education: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech
Certifications If Any: MCSA/MCSE/ITIL/Azure/PMP
Experience Range: 8-12 Years
Foundational skills
Minimum 8 Years of System Administration experience in Microsoft windows servers across multiple OS versions.
Experience in Server patching, core tools installation and troubleshooting.
Experience in VMWare virtual environment for managing VMs
Excellent troubleshooting skills on MS Windows OS.
Scripting in powershell or any other scripting language.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
Experience in Change Management and Best Practices.
Desired skills
Experience on Microsoft Cluster Systems
Ability to work in a high pressured, large scale, business critical environment.
Strong analytical skills for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of Operational Controls and Risk governance aligned to ITIL framework.
Work Timings:
o Between 6:30 am to 03:30PM and 02:30PM 11:30 pm
o 16×7 support with weekend shifts
