About the Group
XNE is part of DEG and focuses on developing SOCs for the Networking business. The team is ~450 people strong growing to hit 500 briefly.
About the Role
As DEG grows in its size and scope, it is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to assume Technical Assistant (TA) and Chief of Staff (CoS) responsibilities for the Vice President of the group. The TA/CoS will be responsible for creating a productive and collaborative environment within a global cross-functional organization of over 500 employees. The responsibilities within the role will be divided roughly equally between aligning to TA activities and ensuring team operations are aligned with broader XNE/DEG. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the senior management staff and participate in strategic discussion and decision making to accelerate the development of organizational, operational and leadership skills.
The TA/CoS will need to be creative, strategically adept, detail-oriented, and capable to make some decisions independently in the best interest of the overall DEG organization. There are a wide range of activities inherent in this role and include, but are not limited to:
Driving technical imperatives that support the annual goals and OKR of the group, and tracking progress thereof.
Owning, developing, and compiling presentation materials for any internal and external engagements.
Content creation for internal and external communications including All Hands Open Forums, Face to Face meetings aligned to the overall organization charters.
Driving initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention across the whole organization.
Identifying ways to develop leadership within the group in keeping with the organizational goals.
Fostering a culture of inclusion, diversity, and excellence within the organization.
Managing staff operations (agendas, annual imperatives, strategic topics, biz/project updates, recognition).
Structuring staff agendas, operation reviews, project reviews, etc. while driving operational efficiencies.
Establishing the priorities for the VP’s calendar in concert with the Admin team taking into account organizational and cross-group schedules and commitments.
Providing clarification and issue resolution/escalation in support of the VP’s organization.
Representing the VP in requested meetings, networking to facilitate collaboration across groups, and using networks to accomplish goals.
Candidates should have a demonstrated skills to create and drive strategies, work independently, simultaneously manage diverse assignments while remaining organized and productive in a highly interrupt-driven environment.
Must possess a well-developed skills to read the internal and external landscape, must have strong business acumen in order to understand, prioritize, and act on the many requests received.
Strong skills to influence and collaborate is a must in this position as success will be measured by the proficiency to influence situations where no formal authority exists.
Skilled at identifying and optimizing areas of ongoing concern within the business (both structurally and operationally).
Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communications skills.
Strong desire and commitment to achieve operational excellence.
Must demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork, resourcefulness, and be trustworthy with sensitive information.
The optimal candidate is self-driven and has a demonstrated skills to survey the environment and come up with relevant action plans to help the VP be more effective.
BS in Engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience related to semiconductor manufacturing industries.
MBA preferred, but not required.

Xeon and Networking Engineering (XNE) focuses on the development and integration of XEON and Networking SOC’s and critical IP’s sustain Intels Xeon and 5G networking roadmap.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
