Flight Operations
The Flight Operations team includes aircraft pilots and pilot support.
Job overview and responsibilities
Manager, Domicile (Base) Business Operations role is to develop, implement and administer the domicile business plan supporting all assigned pilots. This position is also responsible for the coordination, planning and implementation process for all staffing, budgeting (forecasting and reconciliation), capital planning and related expenditures and facilities management and equipment infrastructure in the pilot base. This person is the primary contact for implementation of corporate initiatives, and together with other Base/Domicile Business Managers – works to ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently between bases/domiciles. Work directly affects 800-1800 base-assigned pilots.

18 month rolling forecast – analysis, development, execution, and reconciliation
Domicile financial transactions – oversight of all domicile expenditures relating to financial and operational performance, in accordance with current Flight
Conducts financial and statistical analysis as it pertains to financial and operational performance
Preparation and reporting of key financial performance metrics for senior management
Development/implementation of capital plan projects/items
Supports and implements divisional goals and Hub shared goals
Must work directly with Hub Manager and SOC Manager to improve system reliability and operational performance
Responsible for representing Flight Operations in all Hub initiatives involving Safety and System Performance
Acts as point of contact for Regional Airport Managers within the designated area of operations
Expert knowledge of current CBA – must demonstrate comprehension of pilot CBA; including disciplinary process, EAP, grievances, medical, currency/training requirements and FFDO procedures
Interacts with other Business Managers to ensure policies, systems and business procedures are consistent and cost effective throughout the system
Supervisory administrative support for the Chief Pilot, Asst. Chief Pilots and other base pilot management staff
Works with Hub Manager and provides leadership to the pilot group on initiatives designed to improve the efficiency of the station’s operation
Facility manager – ensures all domicile office and crew facilities are in compliance with all CBA, OSHA and local code requirements
Ensure CBT labs and Flight Planning areas are well maintained and available for pilot use
Manage and oversee the upkeep and modernization of all computers, telephones, copier and other infrastructure requirements to enable the base to be fully functional and supportive of the Hub’s operational mission
Project management for all pilot base/domicile crew area improvements, repairs – interaction with contractors and others to facilitate completion of all domicile construction projects

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
3 yrs supervising salaried and management emp
Expert knowledge of current CBA

Performance management
Must attend “Reasonable Cause” training
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The salary for this position is $78,150 to $108,900, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
