At Larimer County Department of Human Services, we strive to be responsive and provide timely resources in partnership with our community so individuals and families are healthy, supported, and safe.
We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic, and inclusive staff member to join our Benefits and Community Support Division as an Income Maintenance Technician Manager.
The Income Maintenance Manager leads a team of training specialists that supports the training of all incoming Income Maintenance Technicians who process eligibility for food assistance, medical assistance, and financial assistance.
ResponsibilitiesSpecifically, this position:

Coordinates the activities and personnel of food assistance, medical assistance, and financial assistance.
Develops and implements plans, priorities, procedures, and guidelines.
Hires, trains, and evaluates staff.
Assigns and Adjusts workloads to meet department deadlines and client needs.
Reviews case documentation and actions.
Advises and assists staff on problem cases, work methods, control systems, and interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
Ensures integrity, uniformity, and accuracy of benefits and policy application.
Evaluates program complaints and recommend automated system modifications.
Analyzes, interprets, and provides input regarding county and state program policies and procedures.

QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
One (1) year of supervisory experience is required.
Three (3) years of experience in eligibility and support programs or a directly related field are required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.

Supplemental InformationThe typical schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. The position is currently remote but will be transitioning to 60% remote and 40% in the office.
All new employees and rehires will be required to submit fingerprints for a CBI criminal background check (c.r.s. 26-6-104).
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check for some positions. As marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which the county tests, will result in the contingent offer of employment being revoked.
Successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.
