This is a key role in the growing Pune Shared Services Centre, with ownership of the AP function, reporting directly to the Finance Shared Services Manager. The AP manager will manage the accounts payable team and day to day operations of a new and growing accounts payable services operation in Pune, India. This will also require developing documentation and implement KPI’s for the function. The role will drive excellence in service provision, implement standard processes and procedures and continuously improve them, and manage performance against a set of KPIs once developed and implemented. This role will ensure the delivery of a high quality, right first time, service to the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
Manage and continually build & grow the accounts payable team in shared services
Manage and supervise day to day operations of the team including processes and procedures
Perform first level review of work performed by the team members and ensure high quality deliverables to business teams
Implement and monitor KPIs to assess performance against service delivery targets
Continually develop the evolving & dynamic function, focusing on improving the engagement and efficiency of the team
Maintain and develop the financial control environment
Support the transition lead in seamless transition of processes within AP domain
Initiate discussions and work with stakeholders to design, implement and monitor standardized processes across the AP function
Continuous improvement & transformation initiatives, utilizing IT / ERP as appropriate • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and handle escalations being the first point of contact for Accounts Payable function Ad Hoc projects and tasks as required.
What you’ll definitely need:
Professional Financial Qualification- MBA (Finance) or other recognized post graduate accounting qualification
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable domain which includes growing from Accounts Payable Accountant to leading an Accounts Payable team for an international company
Strong leader with a demonstrable record of managing and motivating people in a complex, dynamic environment
Project management skills
Risk management / prioritization skills
Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization, from junior to senior exec level
Knowledge of SAP essential Ability to think clearly, be organized and execute effectively.
